Love as Our Sixth Sense

I am mesmerized. I am staring at a GIF that a friend posted on Social Media, of a 2-foot straight metal bar that looks like a shortened curtain rod rotating around an axis like the Earth goes around the Sun. The bar is perched somewhere in the vicinity of a 45-degree angle to both the perpendicular and horizontal planes it is interacting with. So basically it’s a stick being held at an angle by some tongs, rotating around a single pivot point. The bottom of the metal rod precedes the top as it travels around and around and around the single point of rotation. I compare it to a Sufi dancer with his arm extended as he spins.

In the middle of the path of rotation is placed a flat, two-dimensional plexiglass wall of sorts that has a cut out where the stick passes through it. Because the rod is poised at an angle, the bottom of the metal rod passes through the plexiglass first. So as the rod rotates around the fixed point, it makes a flattened image of itself on the plexiglass as it crosses the plane.

The shocking thing that I can’t wrap my mind around is that instead of it appearing as a long, thin rod, or a shorter version of the rod where it intersects the plexiglass plane, it instead shows itself as an outward curved U shape, not a straight line at all!

The 2nd dimensional representation (length by height) of the rotation of the 3rd dimensional rod as it moves through time, is not at all the straight metal bar we see. We can see the flat U-shape where it passes through the flat plane, which will never have the extra dimension of height that is visible only in 3rd dimension. Therefore the object’s path through the plexiglass appears flat and curved instead of straight and rotating. The view of the object’s movement through the plexiglass is significantly different in a lower dimension than how it is perceived in our 3rd dimension.

That certainly got me thinking. How would 4th, 5th and above dimensions appear to us in our limited 3rddimensional sensory world, similar in manner to how the 2nd dimensional viewer on the plexiglass saw something very different that the 3rd dimensional viewer watching the stick move around the pole from afar?

We already intrinsically understand that we have access to higher dimensions because they are part of our natural state. And we know all the dimensions co-exist in the same space-time. We just can’t see them with our 3rd dimensional trained senses.

So back to the metal rod. Even if it couldn’t see the entire 3rd dimensional structure of the rotating metal rod, the 2nd dimensional plexiglass flat ‘world’ certainly perceived each ‘flat’ cross section of the cylindrical rod as it passed through its particular flat plane perception. It would appear as a stream of circles moving across the 2-dimensional plane. And as the entire rod passed through, the impression it left on the flat surface was not just a circular hole or a line, but it was shaped like an outwards U.

So we too, just like this flat world should have traces of the higher dimensions interacting with us. They just wouldn’t appear directly in the same form or shape to us as they would in the higher realms, due to our limited 3rd dimensional visibility. So I wonder now, often, about what from the higher dimensions comes through to our 3rd dimensional world that we can pick up information about, though perhaps we are missing the whole picture of how it really exists in those realms.

Pondering What We Can’t See

How can we tune in to find the 4th and 5th and above density objects, if we can’t see them clearly from our 3rd dimensional perceptions? How and where do we look for the clues to understanding what exists beyond our senses? As I search tor the answers, what seems to come back over and again is the brilliant, vibrancy of love. When I traveled to higher realms, the sensation of love is always present there, seemingly tied into the bliss and peaceful emptiness that I can also feel in deep meditations. Those too perhaps would be represented differently fully in higher realms – but our sensation is always through the vessel we utilize in this life.

So that’s on the tangible, physical level. Now, think of it in the mental realms. What is it on this planet that we are looking for always, at all cost? Why do we as a species hunt for love and connection and turn to vices and bad habits and addictions when we can’t seem to find any?  Why do we stay in bad relationships when we know we should leave for our best interest, but instead try to grasp onto and keep a glimmer of what may resemble love, or what love had once existed between two people. Why are we hard-wired to seek it out at all cost?

Why do so many people choose to see orgasm as the ultimate experience of love and transcendence? We are ‘wired’ to seek love. It is our natural state.

Emotions show up in response to our environment, and are tied to patterns and responses of the mind. Some even say they are tied to facial expressions. They go away when they are no longer needed. Love maintains and sustains. Love is constant, and everywhere.

The formal definition of the word sense is ‘a faculty by which the body perceives an external stimulus’. We can’t smell, taste, hear, touch or see love, yet our body mind knows when it is there. It is not defined or mitigated by one of our senses, yet we ‘feel’ it. Somehow we know love in the way we understand our other senses.

When we find something we like to touch like a soft blanket, we rub our fingers and skin through it; we do it over and again. It may create an emotional response from our mind. It is the same with love. We all have favorite smells that incite responses in our bodies.  Music that we listen to transports us to higher states of consciousness, or invokes feelings such as melancholy or sadness. Things that we taste, we often crave over and again, such as pizza and chocolate. Stimulation of our senses creates and affects multiple biological pathways and biochemical processes in our bodies. By use of our senses, we receive physiological changes in the body mind. Emotion therefore, has a chemical expression in the body.  And if chemicals are introduced to the body, they can affect our emotional state.

Feeling Love Through Our Senses

Love does the same. You can’t taste smell or touch love, but it creates physiological changes in the body – just as when the other senses are activated. As the five senses warn you to stay away from things like sharp pointy objects, things that taste bitter or bad, or smells that are rotting, the lack of love actually does the same. If something feels cold and empty, your body through the use of the senses will probably tell you to stay away. In the same manner, emotionally healthy beings don’t seek out situations where this is no love.

The things humans define as love may bring up a number of different emotions, but unconditional, causeless love is not an emotion. On the deepest level, it is aligned in the experience of Consciousness. We may interpret love as many things but then we are only assigning to it, stories of the mind. Only in the mind’s interpretation of love, does it take on associated traits like affection or longing, joyousness or jealousy.

We are made of the stuff of consciousness, and consciousness is that which is all things. Love is inherent in it.

When we are born we begin to lose our direct connection to Source (which naturally comes with a built – in love connection) and then trauma, programming, separation occurs over time in these bodies, and we do anything we can to try to get love back. We are on a relentless search to find love from situations and people around us. It’s not until later when we’ve failed seeking love everywhere else that we try to find self-love, but even that’s not even a consideration for most people. We are wired for love, and I postulate it is because we are trying to get back to Source, and consciousness energies.

We begin the search with our parents. Our separation from our unity consciousness is so great and there exists such a drop in vibration when we are born into 3rd dimensional bodies, that we feel such lack of connection and love immediately upon birth, so we seek to find it from our caretakers, from our parents first. This is beyond having our basic survival needs met. If our basic needs aren’t met, we begin to confuse that as well, and tie that into our love seeking. Our parents don’t understand full spectrum unconditional love themselves since they were also born into separation, so how can they share that with us? After parents and family, we seek it from our friends and from society. The search for love never stops.

If early parenting taught us, reminded us, of where we came from vibrationally, and somehow energetically shared and nurtured multidimensional energies imbued with Love in us, and assured us that as a human we really never lose that full conscious spectrum of our existence, our energy channels would remain more open.

Instead of interpreting the lack of love as trauma and beginning to shut down energetically, those on the Earth would remember universal and self-love much more. Humans wouldn’t feel isolated and alone on their little planet, thinking they are down there all alone, separate from all of creation. They would remember they are tied to the unity of all things. Love wouldn’t be forgotten and then desperately tried to be earned, strived for, tricked, manipulated, or starved for. We wouldn’t spend lifetimes doing the work to think we need to find or get something back that we already have.

It is after we allow this love coming through to us in our connection to the Higher Self, which is already immersed in higher states of Consciousness, that we find peace in our lives. Only then are we truly able to turn outwards and share this love, true love, to help others and the planet.

Many beings come to Earth to grow and experience the offerings and lessons that 3rd density avenues and areas can provide. But those that came down to help Earth and its upliftment must get to their work quickly. Yes, love is the uplifting vibration that will take the planet to its evolution. Light and energy work will help bring through the love, because it is the grandest of clearings. Light will tremble the darkness and rumble it away, from the ground up. It will shake it to its core.

More and more people are feeling their entire worlds come apart from the core, but the thing to say to them is to not be afraid. The work is being done to them. Light will allow true love to penetrate through, internally, deeply.

So maybe, just maybe, what we can understand and feel tangibly through our 3rd dimensional perception that is love is symptomatic of something higher. It is something more, something we know about, know truly, from a deeper place within us.

And just like the curved 2nd dimensional representation of a 3rd dimensional object moving through its flat perceptions, we don’t see the whole picture quite yet. But if we follow the clues, I believe it will take us to our next evolution of understanding. Maybe we will never see 5th dimensionally with our eyes, but if we are aligned in our hearts though its 3rddimension manifestation of love, then we are ok. We are on the right path, moving down the right road, for the next evolutionary step of the human journey. We are wired for love and our drive for love in our lives, is driving our evolutionary consciousness!

I presented this work at the 2017 Science & Nonduality Conference, and am working on my book.
