The Deep Work vs the Really Deep Work

Lately there has been a trend of internet influencers telling people to take time out of their lives- “take 6 months” to go ‘do the deep work’ to get results with their finances, their financial success, their career success, or to change their lives in the way an individual chooses. That’s all fine and good- but if they really understood the work that needs to be done on a personal and subconscious level to change our habits and belief systems that we have begun to form since the moment of conception – not even addressing our past lives-  they may take a long pause about that 6 month time frame.

The ‘deep work’ they are referring to is a term coined by Cal Newport, in his book Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World. It is to hone in on activity performed in distraction – free concentration. The results of this work is to create skill and allow more time in our lives for complex problem-solving and creative work. Great. We all need focus and concentration to be successful.

The problem with this kind of deep work is that it ignores the Really Deep Work, which is what we all need to do, to be open, flowing, aligned, conscious human beings, where our subconscious patterns and habits that have shaped us at the very core get eliminated. This is your soul’s work. It not only aligns us to becoming everything we were meant to be, it fulfills us more than anything else ever could, and it brings us into personal power and our super-human gifts that we don’t even know we hold. We just need to un-bury ourselves from what we have unknowingly become through our interactions with our families, religions, societies, and their ideas.

The Really Deep Work understands that we are at a very basic level, made of vibration, interacting with, taking in, and accumulating and morphing our vibratory energy field- which becomes an outward thought, belief, experience in our every day lives. For example, if we were brought up in a state of worry and stress about money throughout our childhood, that vibration stays with us on the subconscious level, running our lives in ways we never outwardly imagined, until we recognize how it manifests in our lives, do the work to clear it, AND bring in new, positive habits and experiences around that old limiting belief.

Think of that limiting belief as a knot of twisted, tight energy that impedes any flow that tries to go around or through it. We have to break that up, and if we don’t, the more we interact in the world using that old outdated belief, the more we add to the size, complexity, and reinforcement of the knot. The really deep work understands this, and helps us clear.

When we address these and clear them out, even if we do it in stages, our pure, empowered, omniscient, purposeful and helpful consciousness energy that we are all ultimately in tune with, created from, has more and more room to flow in to our energies and align us to our higher purpose, and overrides our dissipating negative beliefs and subconscious patterns.

Forget the #deepwork, and do the #reallydeepwork. It’s an ongoing spiritual practice, and you’ll eventually arrive in the state of miracles and grace, showing up in the most mind-blowing ways far beyond you would ever imagine. And on the way, you’ll get your focus, flow, and success as by-products.
